Kargil Vijay Divas - What was the Kargil war ?

My Dear Young and Little Indians, Today is Kargil Vijay Divas . Its been 22 years when our soldiers and families of soldiers sacrificed their all for us. वह क्या था जिसके लिए हमारे सैनिक लड़े और शहीद हुए ? वह क्या था जिसकी वह रक्षा कर रहे थे ? Why is the war of 1999 called the Kargil war? Because the mountain peaks on which this war was fought are situated in the Kargil district of Laddakh. Today we say- Kargil District in the Union Territory of Laddakh. In 1999 it was Kargil District in Laddakh region of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. On 5 August 2019, J&K was split into two. J&K and Laddakh after 5 August 2019 When you read about Kargil war, you come across names of places like- Mushkoh, Drass, Batalik and names of mountain peaks like Tiger Hill, Tololing, Point 4875, Pimple complex, Kahllubar. Why is Guru Purnima observed ?

24 July 2021 My Dear Young and Little Indians, Today is Guru Purnima गुरु पूर्णिमा . The is the day to worship our Guru/ Teacher. Upnishad उपनिषद   says….. गु शब्दस्त्वन्धकारः स्यात् ‌ रु शब्दस्तन्निरोधकः। अन्धकारनिरोधित्वात् ‌ गुरुरित्यभिधीयते॥ ‘Gu’ means ‘darkness”. ‘Ru’ means ‘he who dispels it’ So, Guru is one who dispels darkness   Purnima पूर्णिमा means Full Moon. Guru Purnima is observed on the Full Moon Day of the month of Asadh ( आषाढ़ ) of the Vikram Samvat विक्रम संवत . Today is the Full Moon Day of the month of Asadh ( आषाढ़ ) Guru Purnima is also known as Vyas Jayanti व्यास जयंती or Vyas Purnima व्यास पूर्णिमा . Rishi Vyas or Rishi Ved Vyas वेद व्यास is considered as the original Guru or Teacher.  Every knowledge of Sanatan Sanskriti सनातन संस्कृति   (now known as Hinduism) is touched by Rishi Vyas be it Ved, Brahmanas, Aranyakas, Upanishads Brahma-Sutras or Puranas. History of the National Flag of India

My Dear Young and Little Indians,  On 22 July 1947 The National Flag of India was adopted in its present form during the meeting of Constituent Assembly, a few days before India's independence from the British on 15 August, 1947. It served as the national flag of the Dominion of India between 15 August 1947 and 26 January 1950 and that of the Republic of India thereafter. In India, the term "tricolour" refers to the Indian national flag. History of The Indian National Flag. The first Flag in India is said to have been hoisted on August 7, 1906, in the Parsee Bagan Square (Green Park) in Calcutta now Kolkata.   The second flag was hoisted in Paris by Madame Bhikaji Cama and her band of exiled revolutionaries in 1907.
