Operation Polo , Kasim Rizvi and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen

Now something more...some more history of Hyderabad and Kasim Rizvi.

Kasim Rizvi was the President of an organization by the name "Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen". He was a politician who was very close to  to the Nizam of Hyderabad and had made attempts to use Hindus living in Hyderabad as a shield against Indian Forces. He was the one who created Razakars against India. He did everything possible to keep the state of Hyderabad either independent or as a part of Pakistan.

After successful completion of Operation Polo, Kasim Rizvi was arrested and jailed.

In 1957 he was released but on the condition that he would not stay in India.
He decided to go to Pakistan.

Before leaving for Pakistan, he gave up the reins/ control of his organization "Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen" to a man named "Abdul Wahed Owaisi".

Who was this man "Abdul Wahed Owaisi" ?

He is the grandfather of "Asaduddin Owaisi" , the current Member of Parliament from Hyderabad !

"Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen" is now renamed as "All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen" and is now a political party.

Next time when you read about politics and politicians of Hyderabad, you will have an idea of how it all started in Hyderabad.

पंडित राम प्रसाद बिस्मिल Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil– The Man with a Pen & Pistol

My Dear Young and Little Indians,  Today is the 124th birthday of Shaheed Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil पंडित राम प्रसाद बिस्मिल , the revolutionary who fought and died for the freedom that WE enjoy.     1897- He was born on 11 June 1897 in Shahjahanpur city which is in present day Uttar Pradesh. He was a follower of Arya Samaj आर्य समाज He was good at writing Hindi and Urdu poetry. 1915- Bhai Parmanand भाई परमानन्द , a member of Arya Samaj आर्य समाज and a leader of Hindu Mahasabha हिन्दू महासभा , was sentenced to death by the British. This angered Ram Prasad Bismil Ji. He wrote patriotic poems to express himself. Order of precedence of the Republic of India- Why is the President the first citizen of India ?

My Dear Young and Little Indian Children, What does it mean when we say- The President is the First Citizen of India or the Vice President is the Second Citizen of India ? These terms have been coined to denote the Order of precedence of the Republic of India. What does Order of precedence of the Republic of India mean?
